1 Year Check-Up

Today was Frank's 1 year check-up... and it did not go as smoothly as check-up's in the past... Frank immediately recognized the patient rooms and started crying as soon as the nurse walked in... he was very -sensitive- for most of the visit, but we were able to calm him down so he could show his new skills to the doctor. He weighed in at at skinny 21 lbs 12 oz {30th percentile}... which is only 1 pound gained since his 9 month check-up... he was measured laying down at 31 inches {90th Percentile}... at his 9 month he was measured at 30 3/4 inches... I feel like he has streched out a lot more than that... so I am going to measure him again standing... his head came in at 18 3/4 inches {90th percentile}... so we think our little man is pretty well proportioned and growing nicely. He only got two vaccines today his first MMR and his last S. Pneumonia. He did as well as a baby can do with shots... but daddy gave him a big hug and his apple juice afterwards and he was fine. He also had to get a standard blood test for lead exposure.. we will know the results in a few days! I can't believe a year ago today we were taking him home form the hospital!

** Upon re-measure he is approx 31.5 inches tall (maybe just a little bit less)... I guess he was really wiggling around so that poor nurse did not stand a chance!
