How To Make a Splash

Frank is totally a pool/water dude. He is always in a hurry to jump in the water... like here where he was in such a rush to go swimming he didn't even get his swim trunks on.

Frank loved to do down his slide into his pool... and luckily my camera has a sports mode so I was able to catch the progression of him going down the slide.

Even after that splash down he kept going down the slide and it is always a fun time to have Frank5 in his pool...

Can you believe our family has even more Franks?? Well it does! About two years ago my cousin Gina married Francisco and so we have yet another Frank in our family {my uncle Chris calls him "Frank 6"}.  Gina and Francisco were visiting Columbus from New Jersey this weekend, so we were able to stop by and finally introduce the two Franks.

Allergist

Baby Frank had his allergist appointment today to confirm some of the allergies that had been detected in his blood tests earlier this month. For those of you that have not experienced an allergy skin prick test... The test is done by placing a drop of a possible allergen on your skin, and scratches or "needle pricks" allows the solution to enter the skin. {as you can imagine this is not very comfortable for an adult... let alone a baby Frank} If you then develop a red almost mosquito bite looking reaction, it usually means that you are allergic to the allergen. Thankfully aunt Molly was able to go with us to help console and occupy baby frank during the prick test. Frank did very well during the test... he obviously cried and was not a big fan of the nurse administering the test... he has such a sad little face looking a lot like this...

We had to wait 15 minutes for the results... and this is what his back looked like...

How does one pass the time? Well snuggling with mommy of course!

We were very happy to get the results! Especially since the Doctor was pretty confident that he is NOT allergic to milk or eggs... and we can continue to give them to him even though he had a very strong reaction in the Childhood allergy panel blood test... This was very good news for a little boy who loves his dairy! I guess by this smile... the visit wasn't too traumatic!

Memorial Day Weekend

The -adults- in my old neighborhood were hanging out and having a great time Saturday night {Mommy and baby Frank were fast asleep... I know I am a crazy party animal...} They decided to go see the "flags" at night under the lights... which I believe is prohibited... no vandalism occurred... just some pictures found the next day on my camera courtesy of Grandma Hayes...

On Saturday we went to Laura Bright's graduation party. She just graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in engineering! Frank came ready to party!

Happy Birthday Aunt April!

Today is Aunt April's Birthday!

Here are 5 things you may not know about her...

1. April loves theatre {no wonder she fit in our family so well!} she is always singing, dancing and acting in shows with her local theatre.

2. She enjoys reading "the classics" such as Jane Austin, Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina... you know smarty pants stuff that I would know nothing about because I don't read fiction...

3. My brother and April were "high school sweethearts" they dated through college and have been married now for almost 6 years!  

4. April graduated from Otterbein {where my mother and grandmother graduated from} so in a way she kept the Otterbein tradition alive so I didn't have to... :)

5. She shares the same birthday with her puppy Flint {pictured above} and Gus {my parents dog}... so I guess we could say happy birthday to them as well!

Field of Heroes

This morning we went to Westerville's Field of Heroes which is honoring military members service this Memorial Day Weekend. We went to visit Uncle TJ's flag at the field and had a wonderful time walking through such a beautiful tribute {hopefully this will be an annual tradition}! Frank really enjoyed all the flags... We would also like to thank all those who serve or have served our country and give their lives so we can enjoy our freedom. We would especially like to thank Uncle TJ who is currently serving his 2nd tour of duty in Iraq {and will be home very soon} and of course daddy Frank who was deployed to Iraq in 2005. Thank you for all you do for our country!

Get This Weekend Started!

Frank decided to get the weekend started by playing at the water table and his new "sand box" that grandma made him from a Rubbermaid bin. He definitely loves the water, he did not want to stop playing in it even for dinner... and after dinner he kept going to the screen door and pointing to the table and wanting to go outside... of course we let him... and took some pictures.

Laundry Day Struggle

We have a weekly struggle... to wash or not to wash Frank's blankie... He is so attached to it he freaks out when he sees me sorting laundry and -try to- put it into the laundry basket. He even has TWO of the exact same blanket, grandma Hayes got him the spare so we could pull a switch-er-roo without him getting so upset... but now he has become attached to BOTH blankets {and starting to be a third one as well which I introduced to lure him away from the other two... BIG mistake!}. I know this is -comfort- for him... he doesn't have a pacifier, bottle or any other comfort device... but come on.. he is turning into the crazy blanket baby...

"you are going to have to fight me for these mommy..."

He will carry them around and not let them go or out of his site so I can not take them to wash them... 

Guarding THREE blankies... probably the funniest thing ever is how protective he is over these blankies going into the laundry basket...

He really is a Linus... and very untrusting of mommy...

***Not to worry... I can get them from him while he is sleeping! So of course in the end mommy is victorious over the baby...

Frank also found mommy's goggles... and I think this is his way of saying he is ready for the Pool to open this weekend!

Exercise is Exhausting

When daddy Frank got home from school today he decided to take baby Frank for a run so mommy could clean the house... apparently the long run {ride} was exhausting for baby Frank who was completely passed out...

Good thing his hat could keep the sun out of his eyes...

We didn't want to wake him up... so we just brought the stroller into the house... and couldn't resist capturing him -snoring- on video.
