Halloween 2009!

Trick or Treat was in Dayton tonight and boy did we have a great time! It is crazy how big he is compared to last year's trick or treat in Dayton and Westerville. Aunt Molly came to visit and go trick-or-treating with us and she was a BIG help!! Everyone decided to dress up in costume {though i was not informed -we- were dressing up until this morning... so my costume is not as good as the others}. Frank actually really liked his costume this year... after a while he was running around growling like a dinosaur. Molly and I took frank around with our neighbors Katie and her boys Wyatt and Elliott. Molly took some super cute pictures... and believe it or not I narrowed it down to these gems out of over 100 pictures! Happy Halloween!!!

Aunt Molly put her wings on Frank after we were done... we were laughing that he was now "Puff the Magic Dragon" what a versatile costume...

Little Gym Class Halloween!

This morning we had our make-up little gym class... which was perfect because aunt Molly was visiting and so she was able to join us! Frank did a pretty good job with new kids, new teacher and the early class time. He is so funny in Little Gym class... getting to be a very good student, paying attention and following directions. I can't believe we are already in week 10 of classes!

Halloween Chemistry

This is the lab I created for my Chemistry 1 and 2 students... it is a classic blue bottle redox reaction.. with a bit of a twist... the kiddos seemed to really like it... it is a reversible reaction so if you shake the bottle it can be repeated many times! Takes a bout a minute to watch... but worth it! video taken on the iphone... so enjoy

I am Faster than Fast....

I am Lightning McQueen!! I bet anyone with a little boy knows that.... because OUR little boy LOVES cars... all types, shapes and sizes and of course the movie {for the past few mothis life is ALL about cars}... we can't go anywhere with out some matchbox cars... I find them everywhere... in my book bag, purse, coat pocket, laundry baskets, drawers, frank's bed... EVERYWHERE! It is amazing to me how little boys just gravitate towards cars and wheels at such a young age... but we love it all the same

It Has Begun...

Yesterday while daddy was home with Frank I recieved this picture in my email with the subject: It has begun... and the comment of "The Start of the Great Potty Training of 2009."

Of course I was ecstatic to see how Daddy Frank decided to spend his vacation... potty training! Haha... again... this is completely a work in progress... but the little man seems to be getting the idea of potty training... he definitely knows the difference between his underwear and diapers... he loves his potty reward... and who wouldn't mind sitting on the "throne" and watching some Cars and Sesame Street or having mommy and daddy ready books with you... we will keep you updated on Daddy {and Frank5's} potty training success.

I just thought how he was standing in this picture was funny so I posted it... maybe a ballet pose??

Bedtime Routine

Frank has a new bedtime routine... he demands his Mickey mouse robe and slippers. Every night after bath time he will point to his robe and slippers and -freak out- if you don't let him wear them... I am sure they are extremely comfy cozy... but I also think Frank has his own sense of STYLE!

Yard Work with Daddy

As fall comes to a close... so does yard work! Frank loves watching daddy Mow the lawn... I think he watches his daddy and thinks... someday I will be that big too! Though I don't want him to grow up fast at all... our little man is looking mighty big lately

Pumpkin Patch

I was so excited to go back to the Freeman Farm's Pumpkin Patch after we went with Frank last year. I love Fall/Halloween and pumpkins!!! It was absolutely freezing when we went on Saturday... {I definitely underestimated the weather... and should have had him bundled in a snow suit!}... so cold that we ended up just throwing more and more clothes on the little man but he didn't seem to mind... he just kept running around like a crazy man shouting "pumn-kin"... We did not stay as long as I would have liked and no hayride due to the cold... so we may return this weekend with daddy!!

Look how much he has grown this year!

what a cool little man

Standing still is practically impossible at this age
