Away We Go!

A lot of snow is falling here in Dayton... so post-call Daddy picked up Frank from school and they headed to the golf course sledding hill near our house. I followed behind them to make sure I took some pictures {last time I did not}... It is very hard to keep a camera dry with all the snow falling and while trying not to slip and fall up the sledding hill...

The boys trekking trough the snow

Frank and Frank at the top of the hill

Waving to mommy from halfway down the hill

They made it to the bottom of the hill :)

31 Weeks

9 weeks {or less} to go... almost seems crazy to think about!

The doctor does not want me to go past 40 weeks, so if this little boy/girl is not here by March 21st... It looks like it will no longer have a choice! If this baby is anything like Frank was {Mr. 42 weeks} I have a feeling 3/21/2011 will be this baby's birthday... Hopefully between now and then we will get another peak at this little one via ultrasound :)

More Ice Skating

Friday night we took Frank to "open skate" at the rec center so he could practice his skills for class on Wednesday. This was his first time experiencing the Zamboni... and let me just say a car that drives on ice is a big hit with an -almost- three year old.

Watching the Zamboni clear the ice

Frank decided to watch daddy go around the ice a few times by himself... but then he was very eager to join him

He stepped out onto the ice... and all at once remembered how scary ice skating can be

Luckily he got a little help from daddy and was able to make it around the ice ok

He quickly became more comfortable

And daddy looked like a pro skating with a little one... I would not have appeared so graceful

Frank and Frank were able to make it around safely... but that seemed to be enough for our little ice skater

He does think he looks pretty cool next to the ice though

Hopefully he will gain more confidence and become comfortable with the ice :) But I must say he looks pretty cute out there just trying...

Snowplow Sam!

Tonight was Frank's FIRST "Snowplow Sam" ice skating class at the Kettering Rec Center. The class if for 3-5 year olds, and our -almost- three year old was definitely the littlest guy there... Just look at how cute these tiny ice skates are!

Frank was very excited to give ice skating a try... He eagerly let daddy lace up his skates

At this point he was very excited and was chanting "ice skating!"

He wanted to show me his ice skates while I was taking pictures

Soon... the excitement turned into nerves! Frank was very timid of the ice at first... they let him stand next to the ice and watch the other kids skate... he stood there for about five minutes or so....

We were not quite sure if he would even make it on to the ice his first class... bust slowly he gathered up the courage and inched his way towards the ice

His teacher took him onto the ice and he was off!

He took a while to get comfortable... he started by standing with his teacher

Then he took of skating!

Moving around the ice

Getting so brave out there

Very proud of this little guy! Not bad for his first time on the ice. We were so happy that he made it out there and tried his best... Hopefully next week is as successful!
