Grandma and Grandpa Hartge have this really cool new sprinkler and while we were visiting Thursday baby Frank decided to check it out {with the help of Uncle Joe, Frank3 and Frank4}... it was a lot of fun to watch him play but we really liked watching the balls get caught in the water stream...

Uncle Joe, Frank5 and check out that ball in the sprinkler!

Prayer Request

Please keep the Hartge family friend Claire Bonnel in your prayers. In early July she was diagnosed with Wegner's Granulomatosis (WG) {an extremely rare, genetic autoimmune disease that has attacked her kidneys and lungs without warning}. Recently, Claire was transported via ambulance to The Cleveland Clinic to be in the care of a WG expert. Further testing refined her diagnosis to Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA). Instead of preparing to leave home for her freshman year of college, Claire is in the hospital battling this rare and difficult disease. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Also I have a link on my blog for a little baby named Stellan, if you have not heard his story you can catch up on it here. He has not been doing very well lately, and he is going to require further surgery to help save his life. Please keep this 8 month old in your thoughts and prayers as well.

Danielle and Parker's Wedding

Saturday we were invited to help celebrate the marriage of Dannielle Palumbo and Parker Koch. Danielle and I have know each other most of our lives {our parents taught together}, we played on practically every sports team together as children. It was wonderful to be able to be there to watch her get married! She was a beautiful bride and daddy Frank and I had a very nice evening without baby {our friend Kelly Curtin and her parents watched baby Frank}.

Danielle and her father... he didn't cry {everyone thought he would... there were 7-1 odds}

The happy couple

The whole bridal party did the thriller dance... it was really good!

Weekend Update

We have had a busy weekend and a we have a lot of teeth coming in right now! And what is the best cure for a teething baby Frank?? Frozen Strawberries!

The newest tooth to arrive is the lower right canine (cuspid)... this little boy is pretty close to a full set now!

To pass the time baby Frank loves slides! Here he is checking out the slide at the Fairfield Mall in Dayton... trying to muster up the courage

And here is being such a big boy!

Playing with Jackson

Last week baby Frank and I meet up with Jackson and his mommy Audra at the Boonshoft Museum {one of our favorite places in Dayton}. Jackson's daddy is one of daddy Frank's Medical school classmates, and he is almost 1 year old. It was very nice to have a play date during the past rainy Ohio week... and it great talking to another mommy of a medical student because they can RELATE... haha. The boys loved the animals... especially Maddie the bobcat

Look at the Kii-tty!

Happy Birthday Aunt Molly!

Today is Aunt Molly's 23rd Birthday!

Here are five thing you might not know about her... that you didn't learn last year...

1. Molly loves to watch the Food Network, she regularly turns on cooking shows during her visits... I cannot understand how she stays so thin... because watching those shows make me hungry and want to eat!
2. She is very excited to get her new iPhone in a month... but can you blame her???
3. Molly watched the movie Sex and the City without having seen any of the episodes! When I found this out I forced her to watch all 6 seasons {except season 2 because my DVDs were lost in the move??} Now she is an addict... just like everyone else.
4. Molly has tridecaphobia, that is a fear of the number thirteen... You can imagine her dismay when her favorite nephew Frank was born of the 13th! But I think she won't hold it against him...
5. She is such an awesome sister {in-law}... I probably call/text her as much, if not more then actual real sisters... And we are always excited to have her visit us! Have a VERY Happy Birthday Molly!!

Big Boy Day

Frank has had a "Big Boy Day" Today! At the little gym he did an amazing job! He did not cry or scream when he saw the parachute... he even played on it and with it which is a HUGE improvement! Frank hung from the still rings, and is getting very strong! He did a forward and backward roll... but still loves the balance beam best of all! He also as become more comfortable with the other little kids and was -playing- with one little boy instead of all by himself! Yeah! He is such a shy little guy it is nice to see him finally feeling comfortable! I didn't have the camera at Gym class... however to celebrate we decided to let him try his big boy cup for lunch...

Frank was also allowed in the kitchen this morning {he is not typically allowed in the kitchen, he is gated out so he cannot get into trouble or in my way while I am cooking} He LOVES being in the kitchen because it is like a "forbidden space" He was so excited I took some more video...

And Finally showing off his "Gym" skills with Daddy at the Park

Have I mentioned how much I love my iPhone??

Student Clinicians Ceremony

Daddy Frank's vacation is over officially today... {It was a very sad day for both baby Frank and myself} Though his return was not too terrible... he went back to class this morning and tonight he had a Student Clinicians Ceremony in which "officially" welcomed the students into their third year of medical school. They have a few classes over the next few weeks... and then daddy Frank will be starting his clerk ships for his MS3 year, beginning with an internal medicine rotation! Since daddy Frank had to go back to school... Grandma and Grandpa Hartge generously came to Dayton to watch the little man while I worked at Sinclair this afternoon. I think is safe to say they had a good time and were nice enough to stay for the ceremony as well. I am very thankful that -WE- are halfway through medical school and cannot wait to here the crazy medical stories that daddy frank will tell us from his next few years.

A family pic...

Our little man... the smallest -future- doctor present

I just think this is a funny picture... typical of our life just watching what the little man does

Baby Frank loves nothing more then being on daddy Frank's shoulders

The Air Force Museum

Since the weather was chilly this weekend we decided to pass the time at the Air Force Museum here in Dayton. We have not been in a while, and we probably should go more often considering it is free and Frank was pretty interested in the planes... well the wheels of the planes. The were the biggest tires he had ever seen and was really interested and excited by them. He kept trying to drive the "wheel" and was pushing the hubcap saying "beep beep". Daddy and Mommy Frank enjoyed the museum as well.

Frank went right for the tires

Beep Beep! This is a big coo tire

Smiling because the planes were so exciting!

Getting a closer look

The Franks checking out the planes

These tires are bigger than he is!

He was even more impressed by this piece of equipment

All the planes can make a kid pretty thirsty!

17 Months Old with the Gund Bear

I finally took Frank's monthly Gund Bear pictures! I cannot believe he is 17 months old already... he is growing and blossoming more every day.

Here are a list of 17 Month Old Frank's Favorite Things:

Foods: He still loves blueberries and grapes.

Toys: His Slide, Cars, balls, blocks.

Movies: He has started to watch movies while riding in the car.. the mvies that distract him the most are Shrek, Marry Poppins, Toy Story and Monsters Inc.

TV Shows: When he gets to watch TV he likes the music on Handy Manny and he thinks Elmo is pretty funny.

Activities: Playing at the park, swimming at the pool, going for walks, reading books, bubbles!

Newest Words: Frank loves to talk and sign... his absolute favorite word/sign is "birdie"... anytime he hears them he points and says birdie over and over again. He also now can say peeese {please}, mam-maw{grandma}, Pop-pop {grandpa}, bub-ble {bubbles}... and many more from before and others I am sure I am forgetting.

Teeth: Frank has 3 new teeth this month. He now was a total of 13 teeth! That is a full mouth of chompers... he also enjoys brushing his teeth... aka chewing on his tooth brush after bath time.
