Resemblance

I hear all the time that Baby frank looks nothing like me and is a clone of his father... while I do admit he did not get any of my "looks"... it is possible that there are other candidates for the baby frank look-a-like contest within our family. My dad and I look way too similar for frank to resemble either of us... so we will just have to hope frank is not as ornery as grandpa Hayes as well... However I have been often told by people that baby frank looks like my mom (grandma Hayes) and grandpa Frank sent me this picture today and I have to say that maybe all Frank's just look alike! You be the Judge...

** I tried to find a picture of Frank5 with his mouth closed because the other two babies have theirs closed... but Joe Gernetzke was right it proved to be a difficult task... I guess there is something he gets from me!

Christmas Helper

On Friday the Hartge men decorated the Hartge grandparent's house for Christmas. Baby Frank was not excluded from the team and daddy took some cute pictures of him "helping out" with the lights.

here it looks like baby frank is advising grandpa and uncle joe on light hanging techniques

I guess daddy decided on a "hat change" here

I'm pretty sure he ate the leaf here..

A Day with Daddy

On Friday I went shopping with my mom and all the crazies at 5:30 am... so daddy took baby frank for a "boys day" and it looks like they had a great time. I was able to finish all my Christmas shopping and wrap all the presents (yes i am done!) as well as finish my Christmas cards, and sent a Christmas package to my brother... so it was a very eventful Friday! Here are the pictures that daddy took of their day at the Hartge grandparents house.

Great Grandma Burns

Baby Frank got to hang out with his Great Grandma Burns today while she was visiting my parents to watch the Georgia/ Georgia Tech game. He was very happy to see her and show off his skills of crusing and dancing to christmas music!

Golf Cart

Cindy Straub let baby frank borrow her son Billy's Golf Cart for the weekend. Of course baby Frank loved it because it had wheels! I have been saying his love for wheels means he is going to be an engineer when he grows up... my dad says it probably means he will be working at Firestone... but i will still hold out hope for an engineer... I am his mommy after all...

Riding around in the golf cart

having fun with the new toy

eating the steering wheel is more fun than driving

he really just wanted to play with the wheels

Christmas Card Preview

I had my friend Courtney Mahovlic take our Christmas card photo today so I can send out our Christmas cards this weekend. Daddy Frank was very upset that "The Bear" was not in the photo, but we had no one in Dayton to take the photo of all of us... so in future years the bear will make the Christmas card... but for not its going to have to settle for a mention in the blog...

The Bear Mike and Joe Gernetzke got us for our wedding present (only OU grads will understand)

These are some of the photos that did not make the final selection for the christmas card... but they were too cute not to share. (Lexie was not cooperating for the picture so she is noticeably absent)

The Little Gym

Today baby Frank got to join his buddy Brody for playtime at The Little Gym. I have been wanting to check out this place for a while now, and I am glad we did because it was a blast! There was so much to do, it was clear that we had the best time ever. Frank's class was called "Birds" which means the babies are 10-18 months. He was able to crawl, climb, play, and sing. He learned to do a summer-sault, walked on the balance beam with mommy's help, and hung from the parallel bars. The boys had the best time chasing after the balls and bubbles at the end of class. I definitely think these classes would be the perfect gift for any baby!

so much fun at the little gym

** disclaimer*** the photos are so blurry because these boys were in constant motion! yet another reason a new camera for christmas would be a great gift idea!

Lunch with Brody Dutcher

Today we met up with Frank's buddy Brody Dutcher and his mommy Shauna at Panera before we went to class with Brody at The Little Gym. The boys were very good during lunch eating puffs and apple's. They are such a cute little pair of well behaved boys.

Happy Anniversary

Today is Our Wedding Anniversary! I like that our Anniversary is so close to Thanksgiving because my Franks are what I am most thankful for this year. It has been a crazy year this year, baby frank was born, moved to back to Memphis for 4 months, I graduated from grad school, moved to Dayton in July, Frank started his second year of medical school, I started a new job at Sinclair... They say the most stressful aspects of life are getting married, having a baby and moving... so if we have made it through ALL of that and then some in our first year I think we are off to a good start! Unfortunately Daddy-Frank has his Heme/Onc exam this morning and I am giving my Final exam tonight... so we are going to go out and celebrate tomorrow evening while the Hartge Grandparents get to babysit. Here are a lot of pictures of Frank4 and I pre-baby... I had a hard time choosing my favorites so I just put up a bunch.

My favorite picture ever from Frank's 2005 Iraq Deployment. (sorry ladies this amazing guy is taken!)
