First Hair Cut!

Frank has been needing a hair cut for a long time now... {depending on who you ask since before Christmas}... And TODAY was the big day! Instead of having a barber cut his hair, we had family friend Mr. Gernetzke cut his hair... and he did an excellent job! {with 4 boys I know he had a TON of practice...} Frank wasn't -too- wiggly and didn't seem to mind the sharp objects next to his head and loosing his curls... He went from looking like a baby to a BIG BOY instantly... he often gets confused for an 18-month old and now I definitely think people will think he is a lot older!

Checking him self out in the mirror before the big cut

He was such a good guy

And the back! No longer a baby!

Lacrosse Game

Today we went to Uncle Joe's home opening Lacrosse game at St. Charles. Baby Frank is considerably bigger than he was at uncle Joe's games last year! He had a great time hanging out with his Hartge grandparents and all the other fans!

Sharing his snack with Grandpa

a whole lotta Franks! {Frank3, Frank5 and Frank4}

Uncle Joe getting water {number 25} I forgot to bring my zoom lens to get some really good action shots! Maybe next time....

March Madness

We have been all about March Madness here in the Hartge household... and Frank decided to show his support for his Aunt Molly's Alma Mater Xavier University last week... even though his support did not help them pull out a win... he still looked very handsome in his attempt...

Mr. Cool in his Xavier shirt

What a handsome little man

Slight of Hand

Frank {like most babies} loves cell phones... chewing... slobbering... breaking them... he is also notorious for calling people and connecting to the Internet... {i guess we don't have to have a teenager to have our baby increase our cell phone bill}.... Lately we have convinced frank that this old calculator is a cell phone... and he couldn't be happier with his unlimited usage... he will even hold it up to his ear and say "hi" or hold it up to mommy and daddy's ear... If only this trick could last till he is ohhh... sixteen...

Frank "texting away"... I don't even get to text... so you can imagine my jealousy of his cell phone plan...

On an important business call no doubt

13 Months Old with the Gund Bear

I have been reminded by quite a few people that I have not taken Frank's 13 month pictures with his Gund bear... Honestly I had forgotten because we have been extremely busy around here lately... but I took them today {just a few days late...} Frank has unleashed the fury of a wild and crazy  walking toddler ... he also climbs on everything and clings to your limbs like a spider-monkey at any given chance! He has turned into the -One-Nap-Wonder.... deciding he is too big for two naps {unfortunately for mommy}... He usually wakes up about 7am, Naps from 12-2, and is in bed around 8:30... we have decided this child is too BUSY to sleep... there are just too many things for him to do!

If you were a 13 month old Frank here are some things you might enjoy...

Favorite Foods: ANYTHING {except peanut butter and honey of course} he especially likes cheese anything and chicken. He really eats anything and everything we put in front of him... he is a very good eating machine and we are hoping he continues to be!

Favorite Toys: Stacking cups, blocks, cars, books... whatever he can get his hands on!

Favorite Games: Walking, climbing on everything, opening and closing the door

Interesting Monthly Skill: Frank is desperately trying to talk... I think he sounds Cajun half the time and he says Ahhhh-BIEEE! {which is as good as mommy in my book} He can still say mama, dadda, Hi, and other words that only I can understand... haha... as soon as his Broca's Area does begin working... we are in serious trouble because I think he will be a chatter-box...He also LOVES to "sing" to songs in the car it cracks me up

13 Months old means no more sitting or standing... Frank is always on the move!

He instantly picked up his bear and started walking everywhere with it

Distracted by new toys!

Playing with his gears while his bear watches

I still think be have an engineer on our hands... haha

Lucky Number 13

Look at how much Frank has grown in the past 13 months! I can't believe how fast my baby wants to grow up... but he is such a fun little guy we truly enjoy watching him grow!

One of Frank's favorite activities is stacking and building with cups or blocks or whatever he can get his hands on... I was trying to take pics of Frank and his Gund bear... but he would rather play with these cups instead... the pics were too cute not to share...

Quite the multitasker

EXTREME close up

Mommy I am going to get your camera!

Baby Toys

Daddy has been cleaning a lot on his spring break... he is organizing a lot of Frank's toys because the child has WAY TOO MANY! We are trying to consolidate his baby toys... but sometimes Frank thinks his baby toys are still Frank toys.... he looks so big in his exercise gym... which he was so tiny in exactly a year ago!

He thinks he can stand up... but he is way too big!

Time for Shorts!

Frank was overheating in his pants today... so I put on his shorts.. and his little legs look so cute! He has walking around and dancing like a wild man today... I think he knew how cool he looked in his fancy pants!

Dancing to his Elmo book

Showing off his little legs

When Man Discovered Fire

Well maybe not as dramatic... but today while we were at grandma's school Frank became infatuated with the automatic paper towel machine... he kept making grandma get paper towels... and if we would set him down he would walk over to it and try to reach -so big- to activate the sensor... what a funny guy!

All Star

Frank has been getting big and extra silly... These are just some random pictures I took last week wile I was home and just have not posted them yet...

He loves eating those puffs

He has been wearing his "big boy" shoes more and more lately!

Frank also had this weird habit of sticking his hand into the hole where the screwdriver goes on his work bench and pretending it is stuck... the funny thing is it is so far from being stuck, but he still starts to cry until we come over and remove it...

look at Mr. Dramatic in action... get that boy and Oscar!
