Call me crazy...

You wouldn't be the first to call me crazy... but on Thursday my friend Katie and I stood in live for three hours to get H1N1 vaccines for the boys... {i can no longer call it -swine- flu after hearing on NPR that pig farmers have lost nearly 1 billion dollars due to the name}... so armed with three boys... two strollers... 1 dvd player... books, cars and enough snacks to feed a small army we went to UD arena to wait in line. I already got mine at school the day before and Frank was given one weeks ago at work... so was I crazy to wait in line for over three hours... maybe... but when Frank doesn't get this nasty flu that has been hospitalizing many of my friends babies... I will be very tankful! Since he is under two they gave him the shot... my friend Katie handed him a bunch of M&M's before they injected him {he only gets M&M's for potty training... so this was a serious treat}... the M&M's distracted him so much he didn't even cry... just gave the nurse a mean look and then continued on enjoying his candy snack... I may have to remember this one for the future... here are some pictures via the iphone... not as great as they could be but you get the idea!

Katie picked up Frank from his babysitters so we could meet at the arena sooner... look at all those boys and carseats!

Frank was pretty content most of the wait... thank godness!

It was while standing in line I got the call from my mom about the Ft. Hood Shootings. My brother and his wife are stationed at Ft. Hood and have been there for many years now. Luckily my mom called to tell me she had heard from TJ via cellphone text and he was OK despite being very close to where the shootings took place. Luckily April was off post at the time and was also OK! We were very thankful to hear this news and not have to wait to hear his voice to know they were both alive and well. We have been thinking of the families and soldiers at Ft. Hood and keeping them in our prayers... we ask that you do the same so they can make it through this terrible tragedy!
