Water Baby...

Today while daddy was taking his exam... Baby Frank and I headed to the pool after a week of gloomy rainy weather. Today was only in the upper 60s... so many would have shyed away from the pool... and that is what made it a wonderful day with the pool practically to ourselves. Frank did not seem to notice the "cold"... actually I had to remove him from the pool at rest period so he could warm up and he kept trying to jump back in with his little towel shirt on. He is NOT afraid of the water by any means... he walked into the "big pool" and got about chest deep to see the water fountain... looks like someone is going to get water wings here pretty soon... He also learned a new word today thanks to the life guards... they kept shouting "WALK" and after an hour or so our little parrot would point and shout "WAAAAA" after he hear them say it... I thought it was pretty funny... looks like Frank will be an amazing Jr. Lifeguard someday..

You have studied countless hours to prepare the best you can for this exam...

And even though the questions might get a bit tricky...

I know you will do amazing... and then we can relax without having to worry about studying {at least for a few weeks}

In March we put baby Frank's blocks away to take out when he was a bit older... The weather has been terrible and rainy here in Ohio... so today I decided to break out the blocks from storage... For a child that rarely sits still for more than 10-15 minutes at a time... he was building for about an hour! We had a great time building... he liked to stack the blocks and then pull them apart... his favorite blocks were the yellow ones... he built a whole tower with only yellow blocks {which was interesting because I have never seen him show favoritism to a color before}. His favorite game was to build a very tall unique looking tower, then knock it down laughing in typical boy fashion... As he was putting the blocks together I noticed he made what looked like a pretty good "F"... I quickly grabbed my camera to get a picture before he could rip it apart... I must say I was quite impressed... though he had no idea why...

Frank "nose" best

Baby Frank LOVES his belly button... he has a serious obsession with his and everyone's belly button... he will even show you where your belly button is... He even loves the Belly Button Book and for this reason we usually call it his BeeBO! This past week I was trying to get him to recognize other body parts to deter his interest from the belly button... we have been working on nose, eyes and mouth. He is really good with his nose {he usually sticks his finger in it not on it... haha} but has been touch and go with the mouth and eyes... this morning he walked up to me ad said "EYE" and pointed to his eyeball! I was so excited being a eye/retina scholar and I know my friend Dr. Katie Greiner would love it too! I tried to catch it on video... but of course the video camera always leads to -frank not cooperating- and he is seriously distracted by his BeeBo! But it was cute... so here is baby frank

On a side note... I GOT A JOB! I will be working at Brookville High School {hopefully for the next few school years} and couldn't be happier! I will be teaching all the schools Chemistry and Physics... it is going to be a lot of work... bring on the lesson planning!

What a Week..

A whole week since my last post! Wow... this has been one crazy week! Last week while teaching and being mommy I had 5 interviews for teaching positions... which would bring my interview total to 10 in the past few weeks {may of those 2nd interviews}... but hopefully I will be getting some final offers here in the next few weeks... Daddy frank has be working extremely hard and studying for his USMLE Step 1 which will be on Friday! YEAH! Then after Friday we get 6 whole weeks with him and no school... no classes... no studying... no clinic... no tests! Can you tell I am excited??? 

Baby frank was doing great early in the week... on Wednesday I thought maybe he was teething... on Thursday he had a bit of a fever and was not eating {which for baby frank... means call the doctor!} He was such a tired guy he went to bed early on Thursday but woke up feeling really really bad... he had a fever of 102... his tongue looked like it was swollen, he was drooling like a mad man and he started throwing up... so we went to the Dayton Children's urgent care because we knew something was wrong with our little buddy... and we were right... Baby Frank somehow caught Strep Throat {which is no fun at any age} and since he had been throwing up {even the Motrin they gave him when we got to the urgent care} I had them give him a shot of penicillin to make sure he would get better... and thank goodness for antibiotics! By Friday he was starting to feel better and by today you would have never known what a sick little boy he was just a few days earlier! And I think my intial assumption of teething was correct... because I see two new teeth about to break their way through his gums soon... Strep and Teething.. no wonder he was feeling so miserable! Dr. Andrew Razzano

On Saturday Daddy Frank and I went to the wonderful, glorious Ohio University for our friend Andrew Razzano's graduation from OU-COM. We loved being back at OU and being able to attend his graduation and seeing Andrew become a doctor! It was a beautiful day {not just because we were at OU} and I really loved being able to spend the afternoon with daddy Frank! Can't wait till Friday to be over so we can spend a lot more time together!

Frank was so excited to be at OU... maybe a little too excited... but what alum doesn't want to hug college gate??

After graduation Frank and I went to our favorite bar/pizza place in Athens: Courtside. The pizza is so yummy daddy Frank could not contain himself {yet again} 

Another Day at The Boonshoft

Today was another day at the Boonshoft Museum and we had a great time as usual. Baby Frank enjoyed the new exhibits and of course we was extra excited that daddy Frank got to join us after he was finished studying/taking a practice test. We are very lucky to have such a fun place to go and play... mommy and daddy also enjoyed themselves playing with all the science toys which are meant for the kiddos...
