Baby frank received his first Christmas gift in the mail yesterday from The Anderson Family. Since yesterday was the Feast day of St. Nicholas... (many of you may know his as Santa Clause) I thought it was only appropriate he could open his present and play with it before Christmas... even if we forgot to put his shoes out... The second I took the train out of the box he couldn't stop playing with it... I guess Luke and Drew told Megs exactly what little boys like!
I also decorated for Christmas today... we have a "little" tree this year because I didn't want frank5 to pull on it or take it down... and of course it is fake... I love everything about the holidays but I DO NOT like real trees for many reasons... (much to frank4's dismay)
1) I was extremely allergic to pine as a child
2) nothing is worse then putting lights on a tree... yeah for pre-lit trees!
3) Frank5 likes to eat pine needles... imagine if he had a direct food source in our house.
4) I have a notorious black thumb and kill any plants that are unfortunate enough to pass my way... so a Christmas tree would not even stand a chance in my care.
That being said i think our little Charlie Brown tree looks pretty cute!
Showing off his new train
With the exception of a few ornaments on the tree they are all of the ornaments are from St. Jude ( I bought them last year at Christmas in July before I left)... I was very excited to hang all the little stars (as seen below) and Christmas ornaments painted by the children. They looked so cute on the tree I had to add a picture to the blog.

Oh I am glad he liked it!! They have SEVERAL of the Handle Haulers- and courtesy of MoMo and Pops- Luke and Drew have the whole collection. Luke actually takes two of the trucks in his hands and runs bent over up and down the hallway.... sometimes he wants me to do that too- harder on my back!:)
Also- we got your gift on Friday- I will post some pics- but Luke LOVED his lights paints- we have painted everyday with it. And Drew loves his books too!!
bath & body works sells a scent called "tree." perhaps this would be a real tree and a fake tree... a fake tree with the scent of a real tree. check it out.
frank looks as cute as ever. :) miss you!!
