Zanesville

Frank took another trip to visit Family in Zanesville... and of course spring in Zanesville means Tractor Pulls... He had a fun time hanging out... but our visit had to be cut short by a baby who wanted to RUN everywhere, but we could not put him down because we did not want him to get run over by a tractor.... and he wanted to climb on things that he could not... but he was really fascinated by the tractors and the BIG wheels...

Frank -loves- to read... especially his pop-up or flap books by Matthew Van Fleet. While mommy was at OU, Grandma Hayes took these pictures of him catching up on some reading...

This picture looks so posed... but it was a random photo

He is surprisingly quite gentile with these books... and he loves them

Grandma found this excellent kitchen at a Garage sale for $5 and it was an instant hit! This is how he entertained himself in my absence:

He is one happy and -SPOILED- little man

15 Month Check-Up

Today was Frank's 15 Month check-up at the doctor and it went much better than his 1 year check-up. He weighed in at a healthy 24lbs {50th percentile} and a nice 2lb gain from his last check up. He measured 33 inches tall {95th percentile} and his head grew 1/2 an inch to 19 1/4 inches {90th percentile}. Basically he is a big healthy guy that is growing at a very consistent rate and the doctor was happy with that. Daddy Frank and I think he is going through a growth spurt right now, he is getting much bigger he ever wears a size 6 shoe! At today's visit he had three vaccines today {only one more left until he is five!!} D Tap vaccine Hib vaccine and Chicken Pox vaccine. He did not like them as to be expected, nothing really seemed to console him this time, but he quickly recovered as soon as mommy stopped at Tim Horton's and got him a timbit! We will be going back in 3 months for his 18 month check-up!

Flirting with the nurse on the scale

While we waited for the doctor he decided to catch up on some reading

Frank enjoyed being in just his diaper {we rarely let him do this because he can remove his diaper}

Boonshoft Museum

To get a break from the rainy Ohio weather we headed back to the Boonshoft Museum after nap time today. Frank had such a good time on the new exhibits and the old ones as well. The have a great area for little ones only so he can climb without getting trampled. It was also not too busy today so we had the place practically to ourselves!

Check out these cool boxes to climb in/on

Playing inside the boxes

He loved this red boppy looking thing

playing in the boxes

And of course his favorite the water table! (I was smart and brought a change of clothes this time!)

Jotting down his observations on the magnadoodle (he really liked this as well!)

Checking out bugs in the microscope

Little man loves climbing in baskets/boxes/bins... as seen here

Playing in the General Store

After all the playing Frank climbed into his stroller and we checked out the animals. The otters kept coming right up to us and saying hello! {I LOVE OTTERS!!} We also saw Maddie the bobcat in honor of my Alma Mater which I will be visiting this weekend!!

15 Months Old with the Gund Bear

I say this every month be it is hard to believe our little baby is now 15 Months Old! He is such a wonderful little guy... we definitely hit the jackpot with this kiddo. He loves to sign especially more and finished. He babbles constantly {though we can make out words on the occasion... today I swear to you he said "I Love You" to be while we were reading...} and he has a big infectious laugh. If you were a 15 month baby Frank.. here are some things you might enjoy...

Favorite Foods: #1 food- Blueberries! Frank can eat an entire container in one sitting no problem, I have to hide them, because if he sees them he has to have them... all of them... He has even turned down a cookie for blueberries... can't complain about that! He really will eat anything and everything we put in front of him... we are thankful for such a healthy eater with a good appetite!

Favorite Toys: He also loves anything that makes music or noise {popper, lawn mower, tool box etc.}. Frank FINALLY took an interest in balls, he may be an athlete just yet... he like to bounce them and throw them, and no surprise when he throws the ball to mommy he uses his -left- hand...

Favorite Activities: Frank loves books, perhaps he is just imitating his poor med-student father... but I frequently find him in his room quietly "reading" his books instead of playing with his toys. He has also started to show an interest in drawing and coloring, he gets so excited every time he makes a mark on the paper, again mostly using his -left- hand...

Interesting News: This month baby Frank has now added three teeth... two of which are molars! We have also been told he has allergies -no surprise- but we were surprised when they told us he has an allergy to cows milk {though he has NEVER shown a symptom} and we are waiting to see the allergist later this month to sort it all out...

You Decide...

The sunglasses say "one size fits all"

Which Frank do you think wore them better??
{Frank5 really loves to wear his sunglasses... he is not angry just putting on his "serious" face for the camera...}
