Climbing...

Frank is definitely a climber... Today while I was cleaning the kitchen floor I moved the high chair into the living room... I instantly heard laughing coming from our little man... and I turned around to see him -IN- his high chair... I took him our of the chair... set him on the floor and to my amazement watched him do this...

we are definitely in trouble with this one...

Bumbo Baby

Last week our neighbors have returned Frank's Bumbo, because their little man is now sitting up... and I did not put it away because we are going to bring it to our buddy Cpt. Jack Streb next time we go to Columbus... Frank has -rediscovered- the allure of the bumbo chair and will NOT stop playing with in or sitting in it since it's return... he will spend vast amounts of time climbing in and out of it, or sitting and playing with his toys in it... He can even attach the trey all by himself... and likes to carry it around like a -strong man-... We keep telling him he is too big to play with -baby- toys... but he doesn't seem to care... I guess he now can show Jack how to use the chair when we give it to them in a few weeks....

What?? this is not OK?

"If I wiggle my legs just right... I can climb into this thing..."

See.. Perfect Fit!

Happy Easter!

We had an interesting Easter at the Hartge house, I got extremely sick with what baby Frank had this past week, and so I was pretty much out of commission for most of the day. Daddy Frank was busy studying for his Endocrinology exam most of the day... we were very lucky to have Aunt Molly here to help our with dinner and baby Frank. Despite illness and tests we actually had a pretty good Easter with the little man... and I took some pictures {of course}

The Franks ready to go to Church... they clean up pretty well

14 Months Old with the Gund Bear

Today Frank is 14 Months old! It is crazy to think how fast our little man is growing up and we are having the best time with him. He is signing like crazy now and is still desperately trying to talk... He LOVES music and will dance to tunes whenever he gets the chance!

If you were a 14 month old Frank here are some things you might enjoy...

Favorite Foods: Anything and everything... he is NOT a picky eater at all... it is actually so surprising how skinny he is with the amount of food he consumes! He really loves cheese though... he has tried many types of cheese and loves them all.

Favorite Toys: Handy Manny Tool Box, Lightning McQueen Car, Stacking rings/cups, gears and wheels.

Favorite Games: CLIMBING... we have a climber... we had to get rid of his chairs because he would use them to climb up on the table or try to get over the fence...  he also likes to take everything out of the drawer/toy box/DVD shelf... and then put it all back

Happy Birthday Grandpa Hayes!

Today is Grandpa Hayes' 54th Birthday!

Here are 5 things you might not know about him...

1. Grandpa Hayes loves cooking.. he is really good at it and never looks at a recipe... it amazes me at some of the ingredients he adds to dishes... but it always tastes yummy!
2. People would always ask me what my father did for a living... and I never really knew because he is a chemist and would always say... "I'd tell you... but them I would have to kill you..." Sooo.... I guess this is one thing no one knows about him....
3. Grandpa Hayes loves to garden... growing up we had the best roses and last year I think we had enough basil to supply most of southern Italy...
4. His mother wanted a little girl so bad... when this 2nd son was born... she grew out his long wavy locks so she could curl his hair and put him in "dresses"... luckily he soon had 4 sisters to appease her... but he still has very nice hair.
5. Downloading music is a huge hobby for him... he probably has EVERY song that ever existed and I believe he even managed to fill up his 120 GB I-pod! Above he is pictured teaching frank to use his computer he got for Christmas.

Re-organize

When I am not looking...Frank likes to take all the DVD's off the shelf...

But at least he also enjoys putting them back... maybe he just thought they needed re-organized...
