Here Comes The Bride

Saturday afternoon was spent at Aria Bridal with Erin, Megs, Shauna and MoMo. My friend Karen manages the bridal showroom in DC, so I thought it would be perfect to all meet there and watch erin try on wedding dresses! It was a great time spent with just the girls :)

My fabulous friend Karen! who kept the shop open so we could stay!

Washington DC

Friday morning Frank5 and I left to visit daddy Frank in Bethesda/DC. Daddy Frank has been there for the past month working at the National Naval Medical Center in the Infectious Disease department while we have been carrying on as usual in Dayton. It was great to get to visit him! First stop was downtown to check out the sites. The minute we stepped off the train I was so excited to see the Washington Monument.

So of course I made the Franks run around in front of it so I could take some pics

Frank was so interested by the "high tower"

Up close to the monument... It was quite a sunny and windy day!

Touring DC

As we toured the mall of DC... we noticed the squirrels were quite... aggressive? I was quite certain that this little guy was going to jump right into Frank's stroller... luckily Frank was more that happy to share his snack with the squirrel...

Frank was not a fan of the wind or sun... in about 70% of the pictures he completely covered his face with his hat...

Continuing on our tour of DC and the mall I loved this shot... it reminded me of Forrest Gump

Frank was -so excited- to see Lincoln

Like... really excited to see Lincoln

My attempt to show proof of existence...

We stopped for some snacks at the mall

And while we were waiting... we saw the presidential motorcade!

Man on the Metro

I think it is pretty safe to say Frank's Favorite part of the trip was riding on the Metro... he was so excited to descend into the tunnel and see the TRAIN!

Our very happy man did quite well on the Metro... when we would get off he kept saying "bye-bye train! Bye-Bye!"

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Today we went to Freeman Farms to get pumpkins! We have gone there for the past two years so it was nice to be able to go again. It was such a beautiful fall day!

Frank deciding on a pumpkin

So many to choose from

Frank's new catch phrase is "what about dis one??"

Making sure the pumpkin is just right

Running free

Smile for the camera :)

How Tall This Fall 2010... not as successful as years past...

Frank and Pop pop taking a rest

Frank really wanted "dis one"... so such so that he tries so hard to carry it

Come on pumpkin! I can do this!... Thankfully after some further -unsuccessful- attempts to roll the massive pumpkin... he settled for a much smaller one!

Oakwood Homecoming Parade/Bonfire

Wednesday Night I took Frank to Oakwood High School {the school I teach at}... for their Homecoming Parade and Bonfire. If you are not from the Dayton area... Oakwood is a very SMALL (it's total area is about 3 square miles) very... I guess affluent? not sure how to describe it in one word... but a really nice little town in the heart of Dayton, right next to UD campus. They are KNOWN for their academics and PRIDE! So I thought it would be fun to take frank to see the celebration!

They have a full on Parade! where all the fall athletes, the marching band and club members walk through town... there were even fire trucks, police cars and floats!

Frank was very intrigued through the whole parade....

Then the entire town basically walks to the stadium where they introduce all the fall athletes and give some "motivational words" then they light a huge bonfire! The band plays on the cheerleaders cheer... it was quite a fun place to be

We are ready and "fired up" for Homecoming this week!
