Someone gave me a sweatshirt from my new high school... and I must say Frank5 looks pretty good in Blue and Gold... he is definitely looking like Mr. Oakwood!

Aunt Molly

Found these pics on my camera... not sure when they are from... August? July? not sure really... however I think they are cute/funny. Frank loves to play with his Aunt Molly... she usually roughs him up a bit and wears him out... a necessity for a two and a half year old...

Here Goes Nothing...

Yesterday we had to take Daddy Frank to the airport for his rotation in San Diego at the Naval Hospital there. He will be doing a cardiology rotation for the next month... and we were very sad to see him go! I tried to get some pictures at we packed the car... but it was really early and the pictures are bad... but i guess it will have to do!

We have been doing ok {it has only been two days}... the hardest part is getting out the door dropping Frank off at school and then getting to school myself on time... but so far no problems! Frank has even put himself to bed the past two nights {HE NEVER SLEEPS}... now he doesn't fall asleep... but he walks into his room and asks for a story with out me forcing him... this has made my life amazing... I hope it lasts.... haha. More updates to come from Dayton and San Diego!

Zombeezi Bay

Friday my mom and I took Frank5 to Zombeezi Bay. He had a great time playing in the water... he loved the lazy river! and floating on the rafts or "circles" as he called them...

Frank also loved the Train... we had to physically remove him from it... he kept sating "chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga, chooo-chooooo!!

Costa Rica: Part One

I went to Costa Rica for a week with my friend Paula {Spanish teacher from school}. I had a wonderful time ... though I was sad to leave the Frank's at home... it was a wonderful experience backpacking through parts of Costa Rica. First I flew into the capital San Jose {7 hours between 2 plane rides}... then took a 3 hour city bus ride to the port city of Puntarenas. Once we arrived we had to walk 2 miles from the bus station to our hotel for the night... as you can imagine I was exhausted after my first day of travel.

Waking up in beautiful Puntarenas and looking out at the Pacific Ocean... was fantastic!

Then we walked along the beach to Paula's "family's house" {she was an exchange student in HS and lived in Costa Rica for a year}. Their house was beautiful! They own a "shrimp and ice" factory... and believe me... Costa Rican's LOVE shrimp and Ice. This is the living room area

There was plenty of fresh fruit... if you wanted lemonaid... they would take lemons and squeeze it fresh... or strawberries... or cas... anything! It was fantastic! These interesting fruit are called momochinos... they takes like a cherry/plum... once you can get past the "shell"

There was a horse {keep in mind this is the CITY not the country...}

We also drove to Quepos to the beach Maunel Antonio and went to Jaco while costal with some of Paula's HS friends.

EVERYWHERE you go... there are crocodiles! EVERYWHERE! you cannot swim on some beaches... because they are there... and "eat people"... we snapped a pic of this guy sunning with about 20 of his buddies under the road.

We were there while COsta Rica celebrated the feast of their patron saint Virgen de los Angeles. This was the "walk in Puntarenas" they walk about 14 miles with the saint as they bring her to the church. The main walk is in the city of Cartago... some walk hundreds of miles to get there.

Costa Rica: Part Two

Later in the week we headed to Arenal Volcano... an active volcano! After another long bus ride we arrived at the Baldi Hot Springs!

It was so beautiful in this part of costa rica!

The Hot springs were fantastic... imagine pools of WARM water!... so relaxing... so romantic {wish the hubs was there!}

this pool was 104F... the hot water is brought directly from the hot springs of the volcano.

so relaxing! This one was 109F...

Paula and I also went zip-lining in the jungle! It was AMAZING!

Our last day in Costa Rica we went hiking to La Fortuna... a wonderful waterfall! Here I am next to a big tree :)

Costa Rica was Fabulous! Can't wait to return with Frank4 next time!
