He's a Music Man

While waiting for the show to start baby frank enjoyed the hanging out with WCHS choir director Laura Fahning. I informed her that baby frank is a huge fan of Jersey Boys.. so she sang for him and he absolutely loved it! He kept crawling over to her and looking into he mouth to see/hear where the beautiful music was coming from... it was the cutest thing ever and thankfully I captured the moment!

We then let him play the piano to keep him occupied captured these adorable pictures of him playing the piano! He is such a musical baby already (mommy is so very happy for that!)

Early Christmas

As some of you may know my older brother TJ is doing his second tour of duty in Iraq. Sadly, this will also be his second Christmas away from his friends and family. I have been getting some requests for his address, so I am going to post it here incase you would like to send him a care package or a Christmas gift to help it feel a little more like the holidays... even if there is not any snow and the temperature is still pretty hot... Even though he cannot be home with us in Ohio, we can all do our best to help him still have a nice holiday. If you would like to help out, packages should be send by Dec. 1st in order to make it to him by Christmas...Thanks!!!

Wednesday Update

A quick update over what has been going on so far this week...

Baby frank appears to be recovering from croup, he still has a pretty bad cough... but for the most part he is doing surprisingly well. He is such a clingy sick baby though... always wanting to be held and comforted (which is kind of a nice change from always wanting to be moving like a crazy mad man)... As long as baby Frank is well enough, we will be heading to Columbus tomorrow afternoon after work (so daddy frank can study for his neuro final Monday) And baby frank will make his theatrical debut as "the baby" in Up the Down Staircase at WCHS (where grandma Hayes teaches). We will be sure to take plenty of pictures.

On a side note: is any one else amused that now that the election is over we don't see campaign commercials... but pharmaceutical commercials instead?

Hanging with Mr. Croup-er

Last night and especially this morning baby frank has had this terrible "barking" cough. I thought that maybe I should call the doctor then, but not wanting to be a hypochondriac parent I decided to wait it out a bit more... so I went to the gym to workout this morning, but I was told baby Frank was too sick to go to the nursery... While driving back home I was on the phone with my friend Chie... who is a pediatric -hematologist/oncologist and in typical Chie fashion he was able to tell me that Frank most likely had croup and I needed to see the doctor... so I decided I should probably call his the pediatrician after all to get him checked out. The doctors confirmed croup and gave him a prescription to help with his cough etc. This is the first time he has been sick, and thus far baby frank appears to be one of the happiest sick babies ever! He still has a terrible cough and is wheezing, but he has not let it slow him down in the slightest! He has been very happy and playful, but a little drowsy and fussy at times as well which should be expected... now we are just waiting to see who will get sick next...

Trapped!

Baby Frank's new found mobility has found me rather immobile or inefficient rather because I am constantly having to make sure he does not eat anything he is not supposed to, attack Lexie (he now likes to catch her and put her into a head lock) slam his fingers/face in doors/drawers... not bang his head on the ground while going from sitting/standing... it is a full time fiasco! soooo I decided to re use the pack-n-play as a pseudo baby containment device... and baby frank does not seem to mind too much... we put a bunch of toys in with him and he has a great time while i am doing dishes/laundry/cooking etc... it is making life much easier again!

Happy to climb the pack-n-play

Such a happy little man

He can stand and eat in the crib too...

Put Me In Coach!

Sunday afternoon was such a beautiful day here in Ohio, so Grandma Hartge, Uncle Joe and Aunt Molly came to visit. We all went to watch Frank4's play-off flag football game. Baby Frank gets to go to all of daddy's games typically because the season was Wednesday nights (while I was working) and so baby Frank and aunt Molly would go. Though franks M-2 team had some players missing, the put up a good fight but unfortunately did not beat those undergraduate students... This was sad because typically M-3 and M-4 years the classes are so busy they do not get to play intermurals... so this what the end of a football era for daddy frank.

Piano Man

Yesterday Frank4 and I were in Cincinnati for the Marine Corps Ball, (and like an idiot I left the camera in the diaper bag so unfortunately we do not have any pictures...) While we were having a nice time at the ball... baby frank got to hang out at his Aunt Molly's house. He quickly discovered the piano in her living room... and decided it was the greatest (yet most expensive) toy that could possibly ever exist... every time we tried to pull him off of it he kept crawling back over to the piano and attempting to play it again... we have always know he loves music... but I guess he likes making music as well... I took some video of him "playing" but I am having difficulty uploading it... I hope you can see it! If not try going here...
